Diet v. exercise

As you age, exercise just makes you hungry. Sometimes it makes you eat more! That said, it helps long term. You just have to suck up the pain. When I was younger, I was always in the process of gaining or losing 70 pounds. Yes. 70.

Not super healthy. So now, a whole new pattern has to happen unless I want to be 50 and fat and maybe even crippled by my arthritis.

Day two and I'm hungry all the time. I have reflux. I am dizzy. But I feel better. My clothes already feel looser. I haven't been eating particularly few calories so I must have been eating like a hog before to be this hungry!

Tomorrow: More on being a husky child. Why do they call it husky? It's a perfectly nice dog.

Welcome to Fat Blog

Who hasn't felt fat? Who among us isn't trying to lose or gain weight? I have felt fat my whole life but probably only been fat for part of it. Never been a crane case but only been truly thin during adolescence and twice after starvation diets. My Dad used to call me the world's fattest anorexic.

But this isn't one of those blogs.

I don't starve anymore and I don't recommend that anyone do it. I just got middle aged and got sick of being fat.

I have already tried:

--Starving myself (a lot)
--Diet center
--Weight Watchers
--Gyms (a lot)
--Dieting with a friend
--The boil-in-the-bag-diet
--The bagel diet
--Acupuncture
--Diet pills
--Online diets
--Calorie counting (obsessively)

Now it's time to try a blog diet. Blogging about it, losing it, trying this.
